Marlen's Lady May

***Although we love her so very much, Lady is available for sale as a Started Dog. Lady was a prospect for our breeding program but did not pass all of her health requirement for breeding. She has posterior polar cataracts. Our ophthalmologist is optimistic that it will have no serious long-term effects due the small quantity and size of the cataracts, but they do rule her ineligible to breed. 

Lady is a lovely dog. My family and I have owned and raised Lady since she was nine weeks old. Lady May has an easy and soft demeanor. You think nothing gets her excited until it's time to praise or cast on a bird or dummy. Lady has always been a very trainable dog with an outstanding desire to please. Lady loves her people. Since Lady was a pup, her focus lies primarily on her person no matter the scenario. 

Lady has been trained beyond started level with ease. However, she isn't considered advanced because she doesn't have any live hunting experience. While Lady was physically capable and had the skills, we decided to skip her first hunting season for maturity reasons because she was still less than a year old at the time. We have no doubt that Lady will exceed as a hunting companion when given the chance.

Lady spent the first 7 months of her life being raised exclusively indoors as a family companion at Marlen Gundogs before splitting her time in outdoor kennels during formal training months. After her fundamental training, 9 month old Lady went to live with her primary owner (my Dad). She has lived there as a beloved family companion / working dog ever since.
